The Connecting for Comfort Program provides patients and hospital staff access to all the available technology iPads provide. The primary use of these iPads includes Facetime for patients and their families. Additionally, hospital staff can use iPads for translation services, booking appointments, and communication between healthcare providers and families.

In December 2020, we distributed over 70 additional iPads to Windsor Regional Hospital, Hôtel-Dieu Grace Healthcare and Erie Shores HealthCare. More than ever, this undertaking was so meaningful during the pandemic and limitations on hospital visits.

The iPad donation to Windsor Regional Hospital is a direct result of the proceeds raised at The Ride to Survive event chaired by David Hunter and Robert Pula. The remainder of the proceeds went into supporting T2B’s ongoing programs. We are grateful for the tremendous support of all of the participants who stepped up when we needed it the most!

When Stephanie and Barry Zekelman heard that the Connecting for Comfort Program needed to grow again, their foundation rose to the occasion. With their overwhelming kindness and generosity, they matched the donation.

“When your loved one is in the hospital, the first instinct is to be by their side, so they don’t feel isolated. This Connecting for Comfort Program gives patients face time with their loved ones even when they have to be apart. This could not be more important in their healing process. It’s a pleasure to do our part in keeping loved ones connected.” Stephanie Zekelman – The Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation
