We are happy to announce that Iva Okaj is our Volunteer of the Month for August!
Iva joined us in December of 2016 as a Concierge Volunteer at Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare‘s Tayfour Campus. She visits with palliative patients and their families, offering comfort, relief and support whenever possible. When she first joined our organization, she was looking for more health-related experience as she was passionate about a career in medicine. While she has gained a lot experience what she has come to love about the programs is seeing the difference her time makes for the patients and their families. Iva does a phenomenal job in comforting those she interacts with. Her kindness and positivity shine through in every interaction.
On top of volunteering weekly with our organization Iva is also currently in school full-time entering into her 4th year of Neuroscience. Despite her heavy workload she also helps with event volunteering. She is always willing to help in whatever capacity she can. We are truly blessed to have such an amazing and compassionate volunteer as part of our organization.
You are an amazing person and volunteer Iva. We cannot thank you enough for all you do for T2B and the community!
