We are proud to announce that our Volunteer of the Month for March is Jessica!
Jessica volunteers with our Concierge Program at the Hotel Dieu Grace Healthcare’s Tayfour Campus, helping palliative patients in the T2B Palliative Care Unit – Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Wing. Volunteers have to be a minimum age of 16 years old to be able to volunteer at the hospital. Jessica was ready to start as soon as she turned 16! She learned all about T2B from her older sister who is one of our event volunteers! Amazing generosity definitely runs in this family!
Jessica’s kind heartedness and compassion are without compare. When we asked Jessica what she enjoys most about volunteering she expressed that she enjoys seeing the impact her time makes on the patients and families. She said that she knows that if she were in their position she would want someone there to help her through it so she is proud to be there for others. What she enjoys most is really getting to know the patients and families from week to week. She is always helping out whenever possible and despite being a full-time high school student she tries to pick up extra shifts whenever possible.
Jessica, we are blessed that you choose T2B as a cause worthy of volunteering your time for! Thank you for all you do for those in our community!
