Windsor Ontario — Transition to Betterness (T2B) announces the departure of Amber Hunter, our cherished Executive Director, who will be stepping down this fall 2024. Amber, whose visionary leadership and compassionate spirit have been a cornerstone of our organization, is set to begin a remarkable new chapter. Amber will continue to support T2B, offering her insights and guidance to ensure the future success of our programs and initiatives.
From the inception of T2B, Amber has been an integral part of our family, initially bringing her talent in marketing to our Board of Directors before transitioning into the role of Executive Director. Over her tenure, Amber has exemplified what it means to lead with heart, blending her marketing expertise with a genuine passion for our mission, to bring comfort to those facing life-altering illnesses. Known for her creativity and 'outside the box' thinking, Amber has been the driving force behind our most successful events, including T2B’s record-breaking annual Galas, forming her status as a legacy in our community.

Amber's departure, though bittersweet, is supported fully by T2B’s Board of Directors, who will soon begin the process to identify a new leader. This transition comes with the promise of dedication to our mission, ensuring that T2B will continue to thrive and serve our community with the same compassion and care.
Over the past 25 years, T2B has grown from a grassroots initiative into a beacon of hope and comfort for patients and families in Windsor-Essex County. Amber’s leadership has been pivotal in this journey, guiding the expansion of our programs to support Paediatric, Palliative, and Oncology Patients and their families.
As we prepare for this transition, T2B remains dedicated in our mission to bridge the gap between hospital and home for our community members facing life-altering illnesses.
We extend our deepest thanks to Amber for her passion, leadership, and the unforgettable mark she has left on T2B. We also wish her all the best in her new role as Director of Philanthropy at The Stephanie and Barry Zekelman Foundation.
