It was an incredible day of positivity, warmth and friendship in honour of Michelle and her passion project, The Comfort Care Tote, now named the Dr. Michelle Prince Comfort Care Tote.
Michelle spearheaded The Comfort Care Tote project and carefully selected each item based on her own experiences. Having undergone over 80 rounds of chemo, Michelle was familiar with the journey a newly diagnosed patient would embark on. The tote includes items such as; a journal, a reusable water bottle, ginger chews, a blanket, cozy socks and so much more.
In just over a year T2B has already handed out over a thousand Comfort Care Totes and the demand keeps growing. Each tote costs over $100 and it was Michelle’s vision to host this event to help keep this much needed program going. It’s T2B’s great honour to help her vision become a reality with the support of this unbelievably giving community.
“With the money raised, the Dr. Michelle Prince Tote Bag Program will continue to support patients on one of the most vulnerable days of their journey and beyond. We see patients utilizing the tote and the items included in it on a regular basis, so know that it is making an impact.” -- Melissa Lot, RN, BScN, CON(c) | Clinical Practice Manager, Windsor Regional Cancer Program
