Kids Kicking Cancer (KKC) was founded by Rabbi/Professor Elimelech Goldberg in 1999. To date, KKC services internationally in the United States: Michigan, New York, California, Florida, and abroad in Rome, Italy and Israel. We are proud, that in 2010, T2B piloted Canada's first KKC in Windsor, Ontario. Through our efforts, KKC has now branched out to London, Ontario. This program helps children cope with cancer and to manage the stress of their disease and treatments through personalized coaching instructed by black belt martial artists. These children achieve Power, Peace and Purpose by teaching deep breathing techniques to others, in order to help them reduce stress.
This coming Monday October 22nd, 2012 KKC Windsor will be hosting their second Belt Ceremony for the inspiring children participating in this program. We invite all T2B supporters and volunteers to the special ceremony which will take place from 4pm to 7pm at the Hospice of Windsor (located 6038 Empress Street). Come watch your donated dollars in action and be inspired by the children of Kids Kicking Cancer. We guarantee you will walk away feeling the power of peace and purpose and you will learn a new way yourself of handling daily stresses.
T2B would also like to thank the Hospice of Windsor for donating space to this program within their village. As well a sincere thank you to the Kids Kicking Cancer donors: Domcast Metals - Lorraine & Keith Matlock • Gabriel Floor & Home - Shelly & Kevin Gale • Julie and Beau Roy - The Children’s House Montessori • Petretta Construction - Tina & Dave Petretta • The Stephanie & Barry Zekelman Foundation • Tilbury Concrete - Ernie Mailloux • Darcie and Peter Valente-Valente Development.
