WINDSOR, ON - T2B's Youth Ambassadors have donated $500 in support of Easter Seals Windsor on Sunday, April 2, 2017 at their annual telethon.
Funds raised through the Easter Seals Telethon make a difference to over 20,000 children and youth with physical disabilities in Ontario. Funds from the telethon provide financial assistance for equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers and communication devices. It also provides a once in a lifetime summer camp experience at Easter Seals camps where children with physical disabilities can enjoy activities like day camps, swimming and art classes.
T2B Youth Ambassador Zain Hunter, age 10, said he is proud to support other kids in the local community.
"Our committee is happy to help make a difference for kids who live with physical disabilities. It's important that all kids get equal opportunities to do the things they love," Hunter said.
Since their inception in 2016, the T2B Youth Ambassadors has been a strong fundraising force in our local community. The committee hosts seasonal events in Windsor-Essex County for other youth, with a mission to support Pediatric causes in the local community. Their goal - kids helping kids.
"We have been fundraising for T2B's Pediatric programs in our local hospitals and the Ronald McDonald House Windsor," Hunter said. "We are happy to support other kid causes in our local community as well. It's important for us that all of our dollars stay local and that we can help other kids that are just like us."
